mIttenwald, Germany. Evangelische Kirche or The School of violinmaking
The masterclass is set in beautiful MIttenwald, the home of Pöllmann doublebasses. It´s a full week with intense studies of technique, solo repertoire, chamber music, bassorchestra, repertoire discussions and offcourse some walks in the alps surrounding the town. This year the guest prof. is Timothy Dunin of Austria/Australia. Jeff Bradetich is one of the worlds leading teachers of the double bass. This is the 3rd time that Andreas Bennetzen together with Michael Pöllmann organizes this masterclass. Last year was a big succes. We played a fantastic final concert in the church, had a lot of serious bass talk and studying. Plus a lot of fun.
